Nai-La-Ona

The High Elf, Beli’avari, seeded the great forest Nai-La-One using his magic and one of the genesis shards. The forest is a peaceful place and its sanctity is protected by his students. He has long since sealed the mighty forest of Nai-La-Ona, the trees have grown together to form a solid wall and the upper limbs are as blades that cannot be traversed. Though there have been attempts, no one has been able to penetrate the forest walls and such attempts are punished severely by his followers outside the forest.

There is a means of transportation between both sides of the forest wall however. Every equinox (there are twelve throughout the Barinian year), servants of Beli’avari open a gate from inside the forest in order to communicate and transport goods in and out of the forest. No living creature has ever been allowed to enter the forest through this gate, and its location is a closely guarded secret known only by the highest members of the Order of Beli’avari.

Recently, a secret gate into the forest, referred to as the “FAJ Gate” has been discovered. Details of its creation, mechanism of operation, and use are yet unknown. Members of the Scleral Council have indicated their desire to learn the secrets of the FAJ gate that they might use it to enter Nai-La-Ona
